This Refund and Return Policy outlines the rights of the consumer and the obligations of Gerridene Berg with regard to refunds, returns, cancellations, and disputes, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa. It is our aim to be as transparent as possible and to handle every query with care, compassion, and legal compliance.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to:

  • All digital products sold through our online store (including but not limited to: e-books, audio materials, downloadable PDFs, faith-based workbooks, and guides)

  • Online programmes such as “Renewed in Him” and “Abundant Woman”

  • Coaching services, both group and individual

  • Payments made via Paystack, direct bank transfer, or credit card

  • Pre-orders and upcoming digital products or event enrolments


 

3. South African Consumer Rights

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, consumers are entitled to:

  • Clear disclosure of terms and costs

  • The right to cancel a fixed-term agreement with notice

  • Protection against unfair, misleading, or deceptive conduct

  • Cooling-off periods under specific circumstances

Please note: The CPA does not obligate a business to refund digital goods that have been downloaded or used, as digital content is non-returnable due to its nature.


 

4. Digital Products – E-books and Downloads

All digital products are non-refundable once:

  • The file has been downloaded, accessed, or opened

  • The purchase confirmation email has been sent with the download link

  • The content has been viewed or partially consumed

We do offer a refund or replacement in the case of:

  • A technical error where you are unable to access the file after multiple attempts and have contacted us for assistance

  • A duplicate purchase made in error within 48 hours

  • A product that was incorrectly listed or priced due to a website malfunction

Not eligible for refund:

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Change of mind

  • Accidental purchase after download link is issued


 

5. Coaching Programmes & Online Challenges

Coaching and challenge programmes such as “Renewed in Him” or “Unshackle Your Thinking” are non-refundable, as they involve immediate access to exclusive content, personal development tools, and digital interaction.

However, we offer a 100% satisfaction promise with the following conditions:

You are eligible for a refund if:

  • You submit a written refund request with proof of participation and usage (e.g., completed journals, screenshots, emails)

Not eligible for refund:

  • You did not engage with the material

  • You failed to complete the programme

  • You expected physical results from a spiritually or emotionally based process

  • Refunds are requested after 100 days of purchase

Refunds on coaching sessions (1:1 or group) must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session.


 

6. Payment Disputes

We encourage all users to contact us directly before initiating a dispute with your bank or payment provider. We aim to resolve any concern amicably.

We reserve the right to block access to our products and services if a dispute is initiated without direct contact first.


 

7. Incorrect or Duplicate Billing

If you believe you have been billed incorrectly or charged twice, please email info@gerrideneberg.com within 7 business days of the transaction.

We will:

  • Investigate the claim

  • Verify payment details

  • Issue a full or partial refund where applicable


 

8. Pre-Orders and Upcoming Products

If a product has been pre-ordered and not yet delivered:

  • You may cancel your order within 7 days of payment for a full refund

  • Once the product has been delivered, standard digital product terms apply


 

9. Payment via Direct Bank Transfer

Payments made by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or direct deposit require proof of payment to confirm your order. These payments are non-refundable unless:

  • You cancel the order before the e-book or product has been sent

  • The product was not delivered within the agreed timeframe


 

10. Refund Processing Timeline

Once your refund is approved:

  • Please allow 5–10 business days for processing, depending on your bank

  • Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used to purchase

We are unable to process refunds to third-party accounts.


 

11. Exceptions

Refunds may be granted under exceptional personal or pastoral circumstances. Each case will be considered with care and discretion, especially if it involves:

  • Medical reasons

  • Financial hardship

  • Bereavement

Supporting documentation may be requested.


 

12. Product Exchanges or Upgrades
